A tragic accident occurred in Lagos when a yam-laden truck rammed into a tricycle, resulting in one fatality and three serious injuries. The incident happened at Aiyetoro Junction in Epe, Lagos, when the truck driver attempted to make a U-turn and lost control of the vehicle.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed that the truck, with registration number AGL 764 XB, was traveling from Ijebu-Ode when the accident occurred. The injured victims were rushed to General Hospital, Epe, for medical treatment.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and called for a thorough investigation into the incident. He also emphasized the importance of road safety and urged drivers to exercise caution.
