It’s a girl! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their daughter 12 weeks early via surrogate after ‘busy’ couple had been wishing for a baby for ‘quite some time’
The two power couple have become parents for the first time on Sunday after welcoming their daughter 12 weeks ago, according to DailyMail.com.
A source close to the couple said the baby girl, born via surrogate, arrived at a hospital in Southern California outside LA at 27 weeks, where she will stay until she is healthy enough to return home with her parents Caste.
Nick, 29, and Priyanka, 39, who tied the knot in 2018, shocked fans with the news of their growing family in a statement shared on social media on Friday.
‘We are very pleased to confirm that we have welcomed a baby boy via surrogate. We respectfully demand privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (heart emoji),’ the pair wrote. He did not provide further details about the gender or name of the child.

According to the insider, the A-list couple had wanted to have a baby together for ‘a long time’, but their schedule got in the way of their family planning.
He eventually contacted an agency to explore his options and was paired with a woman from SoCal whom he believed was a good match.
“Priyanka has no problem conceiving, but she is 39 now, so it’s not going to be easy,” the source added.
‘Her busy work schedule also means that when she is ovulating, it is difficult for her to be physically together, so a while back they went down the path of surrogacy.
‘This is the woman’s fifth surrogacy. They met him and really liked him.
The insider added, “The baby was due in April, but the surrogate gave birth on Sunday, so she was very premature.”
The baby girl and the surrogate are currently in hospital and Nick and Priyanka wait for the baby to recover so that they can go to a hospital in Los Angeles.
The source added: ‘Priyanka was trying to wrap up her filming before the baby arrived in April – but apparently it completely thwarted her plans.
‘There were rumors and speculations that the marriage was in trouble and they might get divorced, but this is complete nonsense. Nick and Priyanka are very happy together.
Earlier this month Priyanka revealed that kids are definitely in her ‘future’.
The Quantico star – who tied the knot with the Jonas Brothers star in 2018 – insists that starting a family with her other half will be when the time is right, but that when they become parents, it’s going to slow down. ‘ plans to do.

Nick and Priyanka tied the knot in 2018 in traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies.
