Young Man Stabs His Elder Brother To Death Other A Pair Of Shorts

Abdurahman Sulaiman, an 18-year-old teenager, was detained by the Bauchi Police Command for reportedly stabbing his elder brother to death.

Sulaiman is accused of stabbing his brother during a fight that broke out after a heated dispute at Bauchi’s games village.

The argument occurred over a pair of short pants that purportedly belonged to the suspect’s elder brother, according to the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Sanda, who verified the event to reporters on Saturday in Bauchi.

The suspect, according to the commissioner, is currently in their custody.

She stated the accused murdered his own blood brother (fratricide) after the elder brother demanded that the suspect remove the jeans he was wearing, which the elder brother claimed belonged to him.

Sanda stated that following an investigation, the suspect will be charged in court and that the police would not stop arresting perpetrators of such heinous deeds.

The CP also advised citizens to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.

An eyewitness, Mr. Abdullahi Aminu, said there was a conflict over a pair of short pants that resulted in the elder brother being stabbed during the fight.

He said, “The deceased who was 20 years old, allegedly asked his younger brother, Abdurahman, to remove the shorts he was wearing, which he claimed belonged to the elder brother.

“The younger brother refused to remove it, then an argument erupted, leading to a fight.

”The younger brother used a broken glass to stab his elder brother in the stomach, which led to his death.”

“It is an unfortunate incident between the siblings,” Malam Garba Kariya, the deceased’s uncle, said while speaking on the matter.
