President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has stated that he is willing to engage with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but has cautioned that if any attempts at negotiation fail, the conflict between the two nations might escalate into “ a Third World War .”

Since February 24, Russia and Ukraine have been at odds on Ukrainian soil, with Russian President Vladimir Putin asserting to want to de-nazify and demilitarize Ukraine… Meanwhile, Ukraine has resolutely defended its territory, with Russia’s advance reported to have come to a halt, prompting Russian forces to strike civilian houses, schools, and hospitals indiscriminately.

Zelensky Says The Failure Of Peace Talks Will Result In World War III

In an interview with CNN on Sunday, March 20, Zelensky said, “I’m ready for negotiations with him. I was ready for the last two years. And I think that without negotiations, we cannot end this war.”

Concerning the peace talks, he said, “if these attempts fail, that would mean that this is a third World War.”

Putin has claimed that the Ukrainian administration is full of neo-Nazis, which Zelensky has denied.

He claimed he couldn’t take Putin’s words “seriously” and termed them “laughable.”

Zelenskyy said that if Putin is serious about his statement then he(Zelenskyy) fears what the Russian President might do.

He said, “I’m not afraid of anything except for people, but the fact — the fact is that if he is serious about this statement he might be capable of very horrendous steps because that would mean that this is not a game for him.”

Russia would not have attacked his country, according to Zelensky, if his country had been added to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization alliance earlier.

Zelensky stated that NATO’s assistance has been invaluable since the assault began, claiming that “If we were a NATO member, a war wouldn’t have started. I’d like to receive security guarantees for my country, for my people.

“If NATO members are ready to see us in the alliance, then do it immediately because people are dying on a daily basis.”

Since the attacks began, the United Nations reports that over 900 civilians have been killed and over 2 million have fled the country.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
