Netflix has reportedly put Will Smith’s upcoming feature, ‘Fast And Loose’ on hold.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix made the move in response to the outcry following Will’s unexpected action at the Oscars Awards.
Before Will Smith smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars, the movie had already lost its planned director, greatly frustrating the production efforts.
Netflix then started looking for a new director, but following the Oscars incident, they decided to put the project on hold.
Deadpool 2’s director, David Leitch was supposed to direct Fast And Loose, but he dropped out barely a week before the Academy Awards.
Leitch had been considering both Netflix and Universal for a new project, but the director chose Universal Over the streaming platform.
It’s unclear whether the project will be canceled or if Netflix will just find a new star and another director for it.
