Simon Ekpa Speaks After UK Tags IPOB As A Terrorist Organisation

Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, has contradicted media allegations that the UK government has recognized IPOB as a terrorist organization and violent group.

IPOB was categorized as a terrorist organization and a group that uses violence to attain its goals by the UK Visas and Immigration Office in its May 2022 policy update.

Simon Ekpa Speaks After UK Tags IPOB As A Terrorist Organisation

IPOB, whose leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is now in the custody of Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS), has been labelled a terrorist organization by UKVI and has been barred from applying for asylum due to violent crimes and human rights violations.

Simon Ekpa, on the other hand, labelled the article as media propaganda on Friday on his social media accounts, emphasizing that it should be ignored.

IPOB has never been classified as a terrorist organization, according to Ekpa. He stated that he had carefully read the reports and that they never labelled IPOB as terrorists.

He added that asylum cases are handled on an individual basis anywhere in the globe and that he will speak on the topic on Friday evening.

“Disregard @MobilePunch media propaganda & reporting @ukhomeoffice declared IPOB as terrorists. @ukhomeoffice never declared IPOB as a terrorist organisation. I have carefully studied the reports & at no point did @ukhomeoffice declare IPOB as terrorists. https://t.co/S4IZVgbAcT

“IPOB Autopilot reloaded media team is back & stronger! We’ve defeated all enemies & odds.

“Now, we are moving to the next stage of the Biafra liberation. Disregard the misleading report from @MobilePunch on @ukhomeoffice asylum cases are handled individually anywhere in the world.”
