According To Your Faith Be It Done To You

Isaiah 29:17-24
Matt 9:27-31

We have entered the advent season. A season of preparation and a time of change. In our first reading from the book of Isaiah and in the gospel, we have this possibility and reality of change if we believe and trust that with God all things are possible. He comes to give us a great reset.

In our first reading, we hear of such wings of change with the air of hope. Lebanon will be turn into an orchard and the orchard will be regarded as a forest. The deaf will hear and the blind will see. The poor and lonely will experience joy and consolation. The question is what are those things in you that needs change? What are the habits in you that needs transformation or maybe a re-tuning?

What about us who sees and hears, is there any improvement? Am I functioning in the land of living by myself and sticking to things I know and my routines? Am I bold enough? The blind men cried out with courage and faith, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on us! They wanted a change in their lives.

We too could be blinded by our daily routine having no time to see the needs of others and having no time to be in the presence of God.
Isaiah also mentions that, “those who err in spirit shall acquire understanding, and those who find fault shall receive instruction. We need to try. We need to make efforts. Recognize your blindness. Lay it down to the Lord and cry out for mercy for He is our light and our salvation.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
