Actress Amanda Bynes Changes Mental Health Centre

Amanda Bynes, an American actress, is apparently receiving inpatient treatment at a new mental health facility.

The former child actress, 37, allegedly “checked herself into an intensive inpatient mental health treatment centre in Orange County at the beginning of July,” according to TMZ.

It happened a few days after Bynes left an outpatient program in the Los Angeles region.

According to the source, the actress was looking for a more therapeutic setting because she no longer wanted to live alone.

It was also understood that the actress needed more support than the earlier therapy was offering.

According to insiders who spoke to the publication, Amanda—who became well-known for her work as a Nickelodeon star in the late 1990s—got to know about the new centre through the old one.

Amanda enjoys being around the medical team, therapists, and other patients because it allows her to engage in more social interaction.

The actress is receiving round-the-clock care and counselling at the new treatment facility. There are other programs to assist Bynes refine skills she will need when she leaves the facility.

According to sources who spoke to TMZ, Amanda to the decision herself to make the switch.

The All That alum was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold last month, two months after being released from a mental health facility after a three-week hospitalization.

TMZ reported a few days later that her mental hold had been prolonged by at least one week as physicians worked to stabilize her medication and therapy.

The website stated that Amanda has a good quality of life when she takes her medication, but stops when she starts to feel better, which causes a downward spiral.

Her mother Lynn was in charge of ensuring sure the celebrity took her medication while she was previously in conservatorship, which ended in March 2022.
