Recently, gospel musician Busola Oke publicly shared her struggles, revealing that she is currently hungry, homeless, and in dire need of assistance.
She mentioned that the little money she has is being used solely to cover her hotel accommodation and transportation via Uber. Reports indicate that she is paying about ₦55,000 per night for a hotel room.
This raises an important question: why spend such a significant amount on hotel accommodation when she could potentially rent a modest room for a week at a lower cost? Why not opt for public transportation instead of expensive Uber rides?
While I understand that circumstances can be tough, it’s crucial to consider alternative, more economical options when resources are limited.
In challenging times, resourcefulness and prudent spending become even more vital. Instead of spending lavishly and then seeking help, individuals should evaluate their priorities and make adjustments where possible.
Sometimes, a change in approach like choosing more affordable lodging or transportation can make a significant difference in surviving difficult periods.
We should encourage a mindset of resilience and wise resource management, especially when facing hardship. Instead of lamenting about lack and expecting aid, taking deliberate steps to minimize expenses can help sustain one through tough times.
