Ademola Lookman Crowned 2024 CAF Player Of The Year

In a momentous occasion, Ademola Lookman was named the 2024 African Footballer of the Year, solidifying his place among the world’s top players for the current season.

To win the award, the Super Eagles of Nigeria forward defeated opponents Ronwen Williams of South Africa, Simon Adingra of Cote d’Ivoire, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, and Serhou Guirassy of Guinea.

Following colleague Victor Osimhen’s victory last year, his victory ensures that the prize stays in Nigeria. The Italian footballer for Atalanta, who accepted the honor in person on Monday night in Marrakech, Morocco, called it “incredible” and said he was “extremely proud of it.”
