Are You Living A Life Of Truth?

Wednesday of the 5th week of Lent

Daniel 3:14-20,24-25,28
John 8:31-42

In today’s first reading, Prophet Daniel relates the experience of three Hebrew young men who are willing to die rather than bow down to an idol made by the king but stand for the Truth of who God is. They placed their trust in God such that if they were spared, all was well and good but if not, so be it.

The king made up his mind to through them into the fiery furnace and he commanded that the fire should be made seven times hotter than before and they were thrown into fire. It is amazing what happened afterwards, they encountered a supernatural figure and the lives of these children of God was spared that day. We too must be steadfast in our love and commitment to God in all situations no matter what.

In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us that if we believe in him we should make his word home within us, we shall be his disciples, we shall learn the truth and the truth will set us free. Are you living a life of truth? Are you placing something of temporal value between you and God? Do you bow down to idols and still bow down to God? Do you bow down to man or to the will of God the Father?

Live is a precious gift from God. We all want to live even when we say we are tired of life it is just a show of some lack in life as humans. We should cherish our faith in God who is our creator far beyond our desire to preserve our lives through obedience.

The Holy Spirit is the giver of life, the spirit of truth. Ask him to reveal God’s truth that we constantly change consciences and enrich lives. Live a humble life, stand for the truth, and be free.

Today's Quote

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
