Are You Passionate About Knowing And Loving Or Merely A Passive One?

Philippians 3:3-8
Luke 15:1-10

I believe nothing can happen that will outweigh the I believe nothing can happen that will outweigh the supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

Question: Are you passionate about knowing and loving or merely a passive one?

In today’s first reading, St. Paul gave his audience a brief rundown of who he was and what he has become-a true apostle of Christ. In other words, without Jesus, life can be no better. Therefore, we need to rejoice in the life of grace God has given us. Indeed let the heart that seek the Lord rejoice.

In today’s gospel, the idea of rejoice resonnates in the two parables of the kingdom of heaven that Christ offers us today; thete is an invitation to rejoice, there is a discovery of that which has high value which implies that there is great rejoicing in heaven over a sinner’s repentance.

Jesus chose a constant path of life that is, to do the will of the Father. He acted in this way, he spoke and taught in this and his words are spirit and life that ring out to us across the centuries. As a privilege, we are invited, commissioned even, to keep choosing the will of God above all else. To choose to live for God means at times that we do bear a cross and are asked to carry this bravely even as we live to serve and love others in the name of Jesus.
