Bandits Disguise As EFCC Officials To Abduct Hotel Guests In Niger

Suspected bandits disguised themselves as Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigators and abducted ten individuals from the White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Niger State’s Chanchaga Local Government Area (LGA).

Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, cited intelligence sources as indicating the incident happened about 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.

The armed men allegedly invaded the hotel, claiming to be EFCC agents conducting an official operation.

“It was gathered that the suspects disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras before entering guests’ rooms one by one and forcibly taking away 10 individuals to an unknown destination,” the report said.

According to the report, the Assistant Commissioner of Police for the State Intelligence Department (Acpol SID) confirmed that investigations were underway to identify the perpetrators and locate the abducted victims.

“The public has been urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity, as authorities intensify efforts to uncover the details surrounding the attack,” Makama added.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
