Be The Good Soil Everyday

How do we prepare the soil of our hearts to bear rich and abundant fruits?

Jer 1:1, 4-10
Mt 13:1-9

“I cannot speak; I am too young”
“Why should the people listen to me?”
Jeremiah could not help but wonder, after all, he was neither experienced nor wise…nor could he speak effectively.  At least that was his first reaction.  But as is the case with just about everyone God calls, God does not accept excuses based on the person’s lack of maturity or skill.  Rather God promises to be with them and give them what they need to fulfill God’s charge.  As it turns out, God kept his promises and filled Jeremiah with great wisdom and great eloquence.  Jeremiah’s Word that he received from God inspires us to this day.

The seed is the word of God says Jesus and our hearts, minds and lives are the soil, place, location where the seed is planted. This is where we experience God’s word and our relationship with him. This is also the place where we experience God’s perfect love through Jesus Christ who calls us in our baptism to share in his divine life. God spreads his word everywhere and lets the result follow naturally. God just keeps showering every part of us with His Word. What we need to do is to become fruitful as God expects of us . How?

-Daily Reading and Meditation on God’s word deepens our relationship with God and gives us courage in our relationship with others.
-Daily Conversion makes us repent of our sins and makes us ready to meet Him.
-Perseverance in faith helps us to endure the trials and challenges that confronts us as Christians.
-Prayer life connects us to God our Father”s unconditional love as he bestows us with his divine providence.
-Practical virtues of Christian lives such as humility, kindness and mercy keeps us steadfast in our faith, hope and love.

May we allow the word of God, the seed to fall afresh on every aspect of our lives so that we may gain wisdom of the heart and bear abundant fruits that last forever. Amen.

Peace

Osho.
