Bishop Abioye Criticizes Men Wearing Earrings And Plaiting Hair

The pastor of the Living World Conquerors Global Assembly, Bishop David Abioye, has criticized men who braid their hair and wear jewelry, claiming that these fashions diminish their masculinity and dignity.

During a lecture that was caught on camera and went viral, the bishop asked why any guy would decide to look as a woman.

He emphasized that a respectable man should dress with dignity, emphasizing that he should project an air of grandeur and command respect.

“Kings are recognised for royalty, mentally and physically. Stop behaving like a street boy, including your appearance. Don’t dress carelessly. Royalty is synonymous with kingship,” Bishop Abioye said.

He further admonished men to carry themselves with pride and uniqueness that make them stand out positively in public.

“Carry yourself in a manner that when people see you in public, they see something unique about you. Even in the system of the world, you don’t see people in positions dressing anyhow,” he said.

The bishop warned against adopting fashion trends that, in his view, do not align with biblical and cultural standards.

“Putting earrings on as a man, what are you doing with it? Plaiting your hair as a man, what are you doing with it? I know many young people won’t like what I’m saying, but I have to show it to you from scriptures and from culture. Even if you don’t know scripture, behave culturally,” he stated.

He called on men to embrace their identity as created by God.

“What is fitting is fitting. God created you as a man, for those of you who are men. Why would you like to be a woman when He created you like a man? Why aren’t you satisfied with the way God made you?” he asked.
