BREAKING NEWS: Sultan Of Sokoto Announces Commencement Of Ramadan Fasting

The Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Mohammed Abubakar, has announced the commencement of Ramadan fasting.

Abubakar said the crescent for the commencement of the Ramadan fasting has been sighted.

In a broadcast on NTA on Wednesday night, the Sultan said Muslims in the country should commence fasting on Thursday, March 23.

The holy month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart, and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah. Ramadan is not only for fasting, but also all Muslims should dedicate themselves to self-sacrifices like abstaining from taking drink or food and physical needs, asking forgiveness for their wrongdoings, and devoting themselves to Allah.
