Chelsea are apparently planning to replace Mauricio Pochettino with Enzo Maresca, the manager of Leicester.
Despite his elevation to the Premier League with Leicester last season, the Italian manager is open to joining Chelsea.
Mail Sport revealed last week that Chelsea had initiated the process of conducting formal interviews with candidates, and many sources suggest Maresca is the club’s leading prospect to succeed Pochettino, who left the club last week.
According to reports, he is the favourite replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, and Chelsea has requested permission to talk with the 44-year-old.
An appointment could be scheduled within the next few days if and when a compensation agreement is agreed with Leicester. Chelsea is willing to pay compensation, with a sum of approximately £10 million expected.
