Christmas: VP Yemi Osinbajo Wishes Nigerians Peace, Prosperity, And God’s Blessings

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said that because “God is with us,” Nigerians of all backgrounds will thrive, experience peace, and be blessed in all they do as Christians throughout the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

This was said by Yemi Osinbajo in a press conference shortly after the Christmas Service at the Aso Villa Chapel in Abuja.

The Vice President also preached at the service, which was attended by his wife, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, as well as other dignitaries, including some members of the Diplomatic Corps.

When State House Correspondents approached Prof. Osinbajo after the service, he said was talking to all Nigerians while delivering the Christmas Day Service sermon titled “Why the Angels Rejoiced.”

“My message for Christmas is that God himself is with us, and that is very important because it means that we will prosper in everything that we do, and we will be blessed in everything that we do.”

“And God does not discriminate in his blessings. The Bible says that he causes the rain to fall and the sun to shine on the good and the evil alike,” the VP added.

“So, God does not even discriminate. He makes sure that he blesses everyone. And on this special occasion, I believe that every Nigerian should receive this great blessing that God has for us.

“I believe that we are entering into a season of God’s great blessings of peace and prosperity and all shall be well with our country, in Jesus’ name.”

Prof. Osinbajo had earlier advised the faithful to remain consistent in their faith in Christ Jesus at the Church service, saying that man’s salvation will only come by God’s mercy.

The wonderful news of Jesus Christ’s birth, according to the VP, renews man’s hope for salvation, especially the understanding that “God is with us.”

The angels’ and other witnesses’ pleasure at Christ’s birth, he continued, is indicative of the blessings that would be experienced by those who share in the good news.
