Sometimes things go really sour that we begin to wish we never took the step of faith that we took. But looking backward and thinking backward is the one reason many never inherit the promise. Whether it be a relationship, a business partnership or a job you once quitted, keep your eyes always looking forward and never refer your mind back to what you once left no matter how glorious it was.
Time counts forward and so should your life be. You should never allow the civilisation of Ur, the onion and garlic in Egypt or the pleasures and treasures in Sodom refer your mind backwards. God wouldn’t ask you to leave these behind if He hasn’t set something better ahead of you. The word of God to you this week is “Do not look back and do not think back.” Stay focused on your journey because you are closer now to the finishing line than when it all first began. If you would not give up, you will inherit the promise.
