Femi Otedola Achieves Top Spot As Amazon’s Leading Best-Selling Business Author

Femi Otedola, a Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist, has reached a new milestone by ranking as the top-selling author in the Business category on Amazon.

This came after his autobiography, Making It Big: Lessons from a Life in Business, was published.

Since its August 18, 2025, publication, the book has risen to the top of Amazon’s “Starting a Business” category and is placed among the top books in the “Business Biographies & Memoirs” category.

Works by international entrepreneurs such as Blake Masters’ Zero to One, Simon Squibb’s What’s Your Dream?, and Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO have been surpassed by Making It Big.

It also appears on the charts alongside other well-known books like Alex Hormozi’s $100M Offers, Phil Knight’s Shoe Dog, and Cal Newport’s Slow Productivity.

According to Nairametrics, the book rose to No. 3 in Amazon’s business memoir rankings just 48 hours after its debut, indicating strong early sales momentum.

Making It Big, which is available in digital and paperback forms for £14.99, highlights the growing desire for African entrepreneurial stories around the world.

Otedola’s accomplishment demonstrates the growing importance of African voices in international business literature and ranks him among the most significant business writers in the world.
