God Can Turn Things Around For Your Good

Genesis 22:1-19
Matthew 9:1-8

The Lord always protects the simple hearts. Those who place their trust in Him will be saved. When we choose to have faith and hope in God and His Divine Providence, all things become possible.

In today’s first reading, God tested the faith of Abraham. The fate of Isaac was to die in the hands of his father as a sacrifice to God. Abraham was about to sacrifice is son Isaac as instructed by God but God had to stop him and Isaac was delivered from death and was replaced with a ram cut up in a bush that was provided by God. The Lord God is the great provider and he will surely provide for us His children even when it seems as if it is impossible.

In today’s Gospel, something happened that had never occurred before: Jesus healed and forgave all the wrong doings of a paralytic. The righteous-stricken scribes immediately gasped at the overstep by Jesus. They said to themselves; ‘Who does He think He is, acting like God,” whereas for the crowds; “When they saw this they were struck with awe and glorified God who had given such authority to human beings.”For the paralytic and his friends; their faith and trust in Christ has grown.

Only God has the power to forgive us our sins. Only God can change our lives. Only God can wipe away our tears and better our understanding. We need to constantly grow in our faith and trust in Him. When we forgive one another, we commit the greatest act of love possible, laying the foundation for unity and tenderness among us.

Today's Quote

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
