Government Begins Cutting Of Traces For Reduction Of Land Size

Speaking at Ikputu Nsulu, Pastor Okorougo Aji, the Airport Project coordinator and Special Assistant to the Governor on Lands and Housing, stated that the exercise is in line with Governor Alex Otti’s approval of a further reduction in the airport’s land size from 1,325 hectares to 1,025 hectares.

Pastor Aji praised Governor Otti’s generosity and administrative resourcefulness, and he asked the airport technical subcommittee members to cooperate with the government in order to confirm the land reduction.

Additionally, he urged landowners to make sure that all of their landed property and economic trees are listed in order to receive sufficient compensation.

He promised that the 300 hectares that were cut off, which began with the Ikputu-Umuezeukwu Nsulu axis, would be distributed among the host communities so that the primarily subsistence farmers could keep up their livelihood.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
