Concerns have been voiced by Nigerian businesswoman Grace Makun regarding the stuff that parents are now packing for their kids’ parties.
According to Grace, who is also the spouse of Yomi Casual, a well-known fashion designer from Nigeria, parents used to give their kids gifts in the packets they put together for their birthdays.
She wrote: “Party packs be looking like a charity project. What happened to toys? Educational resources, simple treats and so on?
“Now indomie, bag of rice, sugar, Milo, pack of maggi, cereal.”
She added: “What is going on? Someone should update me please .. . I have been missing a lot on this obasanjo internet lately.
“ls this the new update? did someone announce something a few of us did hear well.”
