HON. OLUWAFEMI ODUNAYO DANIEL SWEARS IN ELECTED COUNCILLORS

The swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected councillors in Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) took place on July 28, 2025, as Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel; the Executive Chairman, administered the oath of office to the seven councillors who will form the 6th Legislative Assembly.

Hon. Olaoluwa Andrew Agbeyangi of Karounwi/Ogunsami Ward emerged as the Leader of the Legislative Council, a development expected to foster collaboration and drive progress in the LCDA.

In his address, Hon. Daniel expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the successful conduct of the council polls.

He emphasized the need for synergy between the executive and legislative branches of government and stressed that inclusive leadership, mutual respect, and shared responsibility are crucial to overcoming challenges and achieving the vision for a greater Itire-Ikate.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Arc. (Hon.) Lanre Okunlola, Member of the House of Representatives for Surulere Constituency II, traditional chiefs, party stalwarts, and residents.

With a renewed mandate and overwhelming public goodwill, Hon. Daniel’s administration is poised to deliver responsive governance and sustainable development to the people of Itire-Ikate LCDA.
