Nollywood star Yul Edochie has given audacious advise to unmarried women who are impatiently awaiting a marriage proposal.
The actor-turned-pastor recently wrote a piece encouraging women to follow his advice and ask their boyfriends to marry them if their man is putting off getting engaged.
Speaking to his supporters, Yul Edochie advised women to get a ring and make the proposal on their own in case their boyfriends are reluctant.
In his words:
“Ladies, if you’re waiting for your man to propose marriage to you and he’s wasting time, buy a ring and propose to him. There’s nothing wrong with it. It doesn’t matter who says the words. Propose. Know your stand with him. No time”.

Topzee St Chris said: “Oga, this your narrative of advice is very wrong. It is never the duty of a woman to propose to a man.”
Believe it or not, women proposing to men is not a new concept and isn’t that different than a man proposing to a woman. Plenty of women have decided to drop down on one knee, do the asking themselves and leave the traditional gender roles in the past.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
