Listening And Patiently Follow Jesus

Monday of week 13 in Ordinary Time

Genesis 18:16-33
Psalm 102(103):1-4,8-11
Matthew 8:18-22

Today’s scripture is a reminder of how crucial it is for us to LISTEN! Think about it: just as Abraham experienced a profound transformation by truly hearing from God, so can we follow Jesus to the very end!

Psalm 95:8 passionately declares, “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts!” This powerful verse keeps us anchored in the art of listening and tuning in to God’s incredible plan for our lives. When God speaks, His voice rings out loud and clear!

I’ll be honest—sometimes the message is not what we want to hear at that moment, or it can be hard to grasp. But through His grace, we eventually uncovered the brilliance within the message!

This is not a time for hardened hearts; instead, let’s stay alert to God’s voice and embrace the breathtaking presence of the Divine all around us and within us! Let’s get excited about what He has to say!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
