Man Leaves Wife’s Dead Body On The Floor; Let Dogs Eat Her

According to reports, a man left his wife’s lifeless body on the living room floor for several days, despite their two dogs viciously biting off her foot.

The man, 60-year-old Gary Johnson, said in an arrest document that Law & Crime received that he left her on the floor “because he did not want to lose her.”

On Saturday, December 16, Johnson, of Panama City, Florida, USA, contacted 911 to report that his wife, Evamarie Macgregor, was laying on the floor and that he thought she was dead. He also said that an unknown person was inside his home.

When responding police officers reached the front door and peered through the front window, they observed a woman lying there, seemingly surrounded by blood, but they received no response.

According to the complaint, when police forced entrance into the house, they discovered the deceased with all of her left foot severed from her leg and skin gone from her face.

According to the affidavit, Johnson appeared “to be disoriented and not lucid” during this time.

Johnson said that their dogs had bitten on his wife’s foot, which is why it was missing.

After processing the murder scene, Macgregor’s body was brought to the office of the medical examiner.

Johnson reported to the Police Department at the beach in Panama City that his wife had died by the time he arrived four days prior, having shouted out for assistance from the living room.

Nonetheless, the statement stated that the degree of decomposition of her body indicated that she had been deceased for longer than five days.

Johnson acknowledged that during his wife’s “medical episode,” he ought to have dialled 911 or the police.

Given that Macgregor was left on the ground for more than 24 hours, he was charged with improperly storing human remains when he was taken into custody on Sunday.

The date of his pretrial conference is January 18, 2024.
