MAUNDY THURSDAY

REMEMBER THE PASSOVER AND CELEBRATE IT ALWAYS

Today’s first reading taken from the book of the prophet Isaiah goes back in time to the book of Exodus when the people were delivered from bondage from the hands of the Egyptian lords. The angel spared the house of Israel for it brought death on their first born in Egypt. The day is called Passover when the angel Passover them as he sees the blood of the lamb on the Israelites’ doorposts. This salvific event is to be celebrated forever.

THE LAST SUPPER

In today’s gospel, we are at the scene of the last supper, when Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, he passed on a strong message to them that if He who is their Lord and Master did this supreme act of love and humility, they too must do the same to one another so that the faith the He had founded through Peter would survive. Jesus knew that without love and humility there’s was no chance for the faith to grow and blossom as it is today.

HUMILITY EXALTS AND LOVE NEVER DIES

However to live the virtue of humility is not easy to do but it is through our humility that we would grow more in knowledge and friendship with Jesus. It’s through our humility that we could convince others to follow Jesus.  It is through humility we become Christ like. It is through humility we become saints. Do we really want to serve God? Do you really want to show your appreciation to God for all he has done for you?Do we desire to have a personal relationship with Jesus?Do we desire to convince others to follow the Lord? Let us live and breathe humility all through our lives. Remember that humility is the queen of virtues. God exalts the humble. When the lowly one calls God hears him. Amen.

Your anointing is your appointment and your appointment is divine. May the oil of unction bring us physical and spiritual transformation and may it continue to function for our salvation and the glorification of God. Amen.

Happy Holy Thursday

Today's Quote

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
