In a recent interview, a former partner of Ethan Crumbley’s dad said he spoiled him rotten – but was a bad dad to an elder son he had with another woman.

James Crumbley, who fathered his 18-year-old son, is “a piece of crap,” Michelle Cobb said, adding that she hopes he “gets the best” for his alleged role in the massacre.

And Jennifer Crumbley, the mother of the 15-year-old accused of shooting her high school in Oxford, Michigan on Tuesday a “monster,” Cobb said.

Cobb claims that while James Crumbley made six figures, she had to fight for $ 67 a week for child support for their son, Eli. “My son is 18 now,” she told WXYZ-TV from Detroit. “And you know, I cried when he turned 18 because I thought all this hell was over when it came to my son’s father.”

The Florida woman also claimed that James, 45, left their son, along with a daughter he had with another woman in Florida, when he moved to Michigan with Jennifer.

Jennifer, meanwhile, made Eli’s life unbearable when he visited her. “Jennifer was a freak,” Cobb said. “She couldn’t do anything wrong and she was right about everything.”

Eli was the last one at their Michigan home when the pandemic began, she said. “The first thing that came to my mind when all of this happened was how grateful I was that my son wasn’t here.”

The couple were arrested early Saturday after they were found hiding in a commercial building about 80 km from their home after they were supposed to surrender to face manslaughter charges in connection with the shooting.

The ex also claimed that Ethan was spoiled. “They gave him pretty much whatever he wanted,” she said.

Jennifer had posted a photo of the gun Ethan is accused of using to kill four classmates and injure seven others, including a teacher. “Mom and son’s day is testing out their new Christmas present,” we read on Instagram. “My first time shooting a 9mm, I hit the bullseye. Her account has apparently since been deleted.

“I hope they get the maximum, honestly,” said Cobb.
