Misinterpretation Of Pope’s Message On Same-sex Couple

Amid the controversy over Pope Francis’ statement on blessing couples in irregular situations and couples of the same-sex.
The truth is that many people misinterpreted his message as if marriage laws were being changed in the Catholic Church.

Blessing of couples in irregular situations and couples of the same-sex is not in any way a form of recognizing their union as marriage.

We should have it at the back of our mind that anyone can ask for a blessing, and asking for a blessing can be an expression of humility, trust in God, and a desire to do better.

The heart of the Pope’s message is based on the Church’s desire to welcome everyone with God’s love and mercy and the hope of repentance.

It should be noted that the Church’s teaching on marriage has and will never change.

The Pope wants everyone to pass through the narrow door on the last day. He wants to encourage sinners to live and also give them a second chance to reform and turn to God.

We should not confuse the Pope’s blessing for couples in irregular situations and couples of the same-sex with marriage equality.

Thank You!!!

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
