You are a child of God and deserve love!
In today’s gospel, Jesus replies to John’s message of repentance, urging belief in Him—the good news He brings. This good news is Jesus Himself, the eternal Son of God, embodying truth, hope, salvation, peace, and joy. His coming aims to make us children of God, offering eternal life and the joy of divine vision.
Understanding this helps us see God’s love clearly. We should ask: Are we showing God’s love to others? Are we open to experiencing God’s love ourselves? Do we listen to Jesus’s words, “Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid?”
Jesus’s path may be narrow but simple—mysterious, yet perfect and true. Let us love God and one another, and accept love in return. During Christmas and always, remember: God is love, and He is with us. Know God and make Him known!
May this year find you following Christ’s Light in all you do, appreciating ourselves, and praying for those who carry God’s messages and blessings. Amen.
