Monday of week 14 in Ordinary Time

Hosea 2:16,17-18,21-22
Psalm 144(145):2-9
Matthew 9:18-26

Let thy faith restore thee.

The woman in today’s gospel, who was healed of her haemorrhage, had been restless and burdened throughout her life until she encountered Jesus. Similarly, the official’s house in today’s gospel was in chaos and distress until Christ arrived, healed his daughter, and brought about a peace that surpassed human understanding.

For us to find true rest and peace for our souls, we must place our trust fully in the Lord. He alone possesses the power to heal our deepest wounds, alleviate our suffering, and calm our fears. He can transform us into living temples, worthy of his presence.

Trust is essential in our relationship with God; it is the foundation of faith that leads to joy and fulfillment. Ultimately, we find happiness in Jesus by trusting and obeying his word, allowing our faith to anchor us amid life’s storms.

Do have a nice week ahead.

Fr Joseph Osho
