Motherhood: Prayer: The Foundation Of Parenting 2

Hello Great Mothers!

The main responsibility of a parent is to prepare their children for maturity. You’re not raising a child; you’re raising an adult. Every day, we make decisions and take actions to mold our kids into successful and Godly individuals with good character, respect, a sense of duty, motivation, great skills, and abilities. We want our kids to grow into well-balanced ( physically, emotionally psychologically, and spiritually) and responsible adults.

We cannot achieve the above with our efforts only. We need the help of the Holy Spirit. We get this help through prayer. Daily commit your children, and their ways into the hands of God. Also, always ask God for the right way to discipline, correct or handle situations concerning them.

They describe prayer as desiring God’s
favor (Exodus 32:11), emptying one’s soul to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15), crying out to heaven (2 Chronicles 32:20), and connecting to God(Psalm 73:28, KJV).

Prayer is the means through which we present our desires, worries, fears, and all that concern us to God. We connect ourselves and all that concerns us to God through prayers. It deals with both the surface and the foundation of everything, including our children. Hence, prayer is the best parenting tool.

We welcome the Holy Spirit to come and assist us in raising our children by making prayer the foundation of our parenting education. The Holy Spirit will certainly assist us if we ask for his help.

The following steps teach us how to make prayer the foundation of our parenting.

Give priority to your prayer life.
Parenting without prayer is a catastrophe. When we’re frustrated, we frequently turn to friends, Google, or our favorite parenting book. However, it would be more advantageous to seek the Lord in all things. The fact the Lord (who knows everything) created our children should encourage us to believe that He has the solution to all of their needs. He is fully aware of their temperament, attitude, and even their life’s purpose. Even while we might be disappointed that parenting doesn’t come with a guidebook, we can be encouraged by the fact that we have access to the Creator! Yes, God knew your children before you ever heard the sound of their cries or what color they liked. And so trust Him to help you nurture them into the person He created them to be.

More of this will be discussed in my next article.
