Motherhood: Raising A Godly Child In An Ungodly World 11

Hello, Great Mothers!

The importance of raising Godly children in this present time cannot be overemphasized. We need to create more time with our kids to teach them the way of the Lord through words and deeds. However, there are so many things calling for our attention, especially the need to do more jobs to be able to provide for them. But it is also necessary we have time to teach our children God’s way before the world teaches them its own way.

Some of the reasons it is crucial to raise our children in a godly manner were covered in my earlier essay. We shall continue in this article

3) So that they will not depart from the way of God when they grow:

Proverbs 22:6 says: Train up a child the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The enemy searches for every chance to change the character of God in our children. Without our assistance, the enemy will have his way with them by presenting them with temptations they are ill-equipped to resist.

Listen, mothers! Our children learn from the outside world that being what other people want them to be is the only way to find their identity and acceptance. However, if we raise our kids in God’s way, we impart to them the knowledge that Christ is the one source of their true identity. We inform children that because they were made in the likeness and image of their creator, their values should be based on Him.

The world teaches them that s*x makes people love them more, but we are to teach them that God’s love and acceptance is the only one that matters. That according to 1st Corinthians 6:18b, s*xual immorality is a sin that God hates.

The world teaches them that by getting drunk and use of hard drugs, they can get high and forget their probs. Let us teach them that, it destroys them and makes the enemy invade their minds and do things they would not ordinarily do. However, when they are out of the effects of alcohol, their problems remain. Therefore,
teach them to trust God in all situations.

Ephesians 5:18 says’ Do not get drunk with wine, which will only run you, instead, be filled with the Spirit.’

Dear mothers, let us teach our children morality before the world presents immorality to them as the only acceptable way of life.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
