Motherhood; The Hidden Strengths of Mothers (3)

The Love That Stretches Without Breaking

1 Corinthians 13:7 says “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things”

This is the kind of love a mother has for her family—the kind that stretches beyond limits, yet doesn’t break. The kind that keeps giving even when there’s little or nothing left to give.

As discussed in the previous article, this love lives in the heart of a mother who gets little or no sleep because she’s nursing a sick child through the night—yet still shows up for house chores just a few hours later. It’s in the mum who sits quietly beside her teenager, trying to decode her silence even while her own heart is aching.

Motherhood stretches you in ways you never imagined. Your time, patience, finances, and emotions all get tugged and tested. Some days, you feel like you’re about to snap, but your love for your family holds you back and keeps you going. You wonder, “How much more can I give?”

And yet… You keep giving. Sometimes, in the middle of it all, you cry silently. But what keeps you moving is the deep, natural love you have for your family. Because that’s what real love does—it stretches.

It doesn’t mean you never get tired or frustrated. It means that even in the tiredness, your love keeps showing up. That kind of love is powerful. It doesn’t always make noise—it whispers through every act of care, every sacrifice, every quiet moment.

And let’s be honest, Mama—it’s only God’s grace that holds us together when we feel like we’re falling apart. His love fills in the gaps when ours runs low. You may be stretched, but you are not broken.

So today, choose to be happy. Love yourself too. Take care of your body, heart, and mind. The love you give—day after day—is shaping lives, healing hearts, and raising children who will one day change the world.

Kindly share how love keeps you going, even when you’re exhausted.
