According to a recent CNN Poll of Polls, which includes surveys taken since the Democratic National Convention, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in a close contest with no apparent front-runner.
In the latest Poll of Polls, Harris has an average of 49% support, while Trump has 47% support in surveys taken between August 23 and September 6.
The prior average, which put Harris at 50% and Trump at 48%, is essentially unchanged from the current average.
The four most current nationwide polls gauging the opinions of registered or likely voters in the general election for president in 2024 are included in The Poll of Polls.
Also, a New York Times and Siena College poll of likely voters conducted from September 3 to 6 found that 48% support Trump and 47% support Harris, with no clear winner.
The study indicates a significant gender divide among probable voters, with women favoring Harris by 11 points (53% to 42%) and men favoring Trump by 17 points (56% to 39%).
Harris has an 8-point lead among probable voters under 30 (51% to 43% for Trump), but Trump leads among those 65 and older.
Independent likely voters lean slightly in favor of Harris (48% to 44%), while likely voters who reported not casting a ballot in 2020 divided 49% in favor of Trump and 40% in favor of Harris.
When it comes to potential Black and Latino voters, Harris has a clear advantage. Voters in November will choose between Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump to be the next president.
A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
