Nothing Can Stop Us From Proclaiming The Lord’s Deeds

Easter Saturday

Acts 4:13-21
Mark 16:9-15

Today’s reading is a continuation of trial of Peter and John by the Sanhedrin. Peter and John expressed assurance and confidence in the Lord. Their belief was strong right now! After they had been warned not to speak in the name of Jesus, they replied the all house of Sanhedrin with these following words; “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”

It was once by an author that , “Peter feared God so much that he never feared the face of any man.”The same could be said of John as well as the early believers.  Can it be said of us, of me and you?

It strikes me that even till today, more than two thousand years after the birth of the Church, followers of Jesus are still being persecuted for the name,  Jesus of Nazareth.

Nigeria is regarded as one of the most terrorized countries because of the killings of Christians in the northern region and also the persecution of Christians by Christians in all parts of the country. There are so much persecution and sudden attacks on Christians especially during worship in all parts of the world.

We will keep going through till we get to the end come what may, even though it seems as if the end is obscure. We must therefore stay committed to the great commission that Christ has given to us to go out to the world and proclaim the good news.

We are the living letters of the gospel today. Peter reveals that Jesus is the unstoppable-message giver.  He puts a message in the hearts of His followers that is simply unstoppable.

We too are committed come what may, we will keep going to the end. Not even death can stop us Why?Because we believe in the name of Jesus. Through Christ Jesus our Lord, God has answered our prayers. Through Jesus, we once experience the infinite love and mercy of the Father.

For He is the victory-giving victor that destroyed death itself. He is the cornerstone you cannot do without . He is the only way and the exalter of the ordinary.Jesus is the unstoppable-message giver. Therefore, Go and tell it on the mountain, over hills, and everywhere that Jesus is Risen. Alleluia!

PRAYER

Like the apostles, may nothing stop you from making the name of Christ known to the world through your words and good deeds. May God shed us from the darts of our salvation and grant us his mercy and favors. Amen.

Today's Quote

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
