I join millions of sons and daughters of Ondo State at home and abroad in celebrating the Golden Jubilee of our dear state, created on February 3, 1976. Today marks fifty remarkable years of resilience, vision and steady progress.
This milestone offers a unique opportunity to reflect on a journey shaped by the courage, industry and unity of our people. From our rich cultural heritage and agricultural endowments to our intellectual contributions and entrepreneurial achievements, Ondo State has remained a shining light of excellence within the Nigerian federation.
These fifty years represent far more than a historical timeline; they tell the inspiring story of a people who have continually chosen progress over setbacks and unity over division.

Through changing times and challenges, Ondo State has consistently demonstrated the strength of character that defines us.
As we celebrate, we must also look forward with renewed commitment. The next phase of our development must be driven by innovation, purposeful youth engagement, inclusive governance and sustainable economic growth that benefits every community, from our rural towns to our urban centres.
Our Golden Jubilee reminds us that greatness is never accidental. It is built through vision, sacrifice and collective responsibility. The future of Ondo State lies in how well we nurture our young people, empower our women, support our farmers and entrepreneurs, and strengthen the institutions that serve our people.
I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, members of the Ondo State Executive Council, our representatives in the National Assembly, ministers from the state, traditional rulers, community leaders and all citizens who have contributed to the growth and development of our beloved state over the past five decades.
As we commemorate 50 years of strength, service and shared progress, I am confident that the next fifty years will usher in even greater unity, prosperity and opportunities for all.
Ondo State at 50 is not just a celebration of history; it is a bold declaration of hope and confidence in the future.
Happy Golden Jubilee, Ondo State!
