The Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, has spoken out after receiving a lot of backlash for having a party soon after her sister’s funeral.
Following the release of a video showing her clubbing with Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, Phyna, who lost her younger sister Ruth Otabor in an August accident involving a Dangote truck and buried her in September, has encountered backlash on social media.
Some viewers reacted negatively to the viral video, accusing the reality TV personality of being inconsiderate and of moving on too soon after her loss.
Although, Regina Daniels had earlier defended her, urging the public to stop judging her.
Taking to her X account she wrote;
“Reminder
Grief has no manual, no fixed face, and no timetable. The fact that I choose to keep living, smiling, or sharing moments does not erase the pain I carry.
“Respect the process, even if you do not understand it. If you cannot extend compassion, then at least extend silence,” she said.
