On Thursday (today), at 7 a.m., Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), the president of Nigeria, will address the nation.
This information was released in a press statement late on Wednesday that Femi Adesina, the Special Advisor to the President on Media & Publicity, made available to The PUNCH.
Television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets were urged to connect to the Nigerian Television Authority’s and Radio Nigeria’s network services for the broadcast, according to the announcement.
The statement said, “Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
However, it was not made clear why the broadcast was being made or what the president would speak about.
