IGNITE YOUR SPIRIT OF PRAYER AND PERSEVERANCE

Today’s reading from the Acts of the Apostles is brilliant! St. Paul, standing amidst a charged assembly, accused and yet ever so clever. He realizes that his accusers are torn over the contentious issue of resurrection. With brilliant insight, he masterfully plays on this division, turning the groups against one another. In a stunning twist, he manages to walk free! What a remarkable display of ingenuity—truly thinking outside the box!

And then, we turn to the profound and intimate prayer of Jesus in John’s Gospel. You can almost feel the warmth and deep connection radiating from his words. Jesus isn’t just praying for his disciples; he reaches out for all of us—everyone who will come after them, including YOU AND ME! What an incredible moment! Whatever Jesus asks of the Father is something the Father cannot refuse.

The Father is all ears, ready to answer the heartfelt prayers of his Son. And guess what? That prayer includes YOU! So here’s my invitation: carve out a quiet moment in your day, take a deep breath, and immerse yourself in the beautiful prayer Jesus made just for you. Let it transform the way you think and ignite your spirit!
