THERE IS GREAT WISDOM IN SEEKING DIVINE PROVIDENCE

Every day, we have an incredible opportunity to tap into the wisdom of God—just as essential as His divine protection! Can you feel the excitement as Proverbs 4:7 reminds us that “wisdom is the principal thing”? In all our pursuits, wisdom is what we need to chase after! Today’s gospel showcases Christ demonstrating profound wisdom in His encounter with the tax collectors. This is the Lord of lords we’re talking about! He not only paid His temple tax but did so in a miraculous way, instructing Peter to catch a fish that would provide for it. Talk about an astonishing provision!

When we pray about our finances, we might envision a specific way God could answer. But, oh, how thrilling it is to see God work in ways we never imagined! It’s reassuring to know that the Lord is mighty enough to deliver us from troubles. But here’s the kicker: what’s even better than being saved from trouble? It’s steering clear of it altogether! That’s why the saying goes, prevention is better than a cure.

Dear ones, don’t just chase after miracles and protection—seek the wisdom of God that keeps us safe and out of harm’s way! Sometimes we face challenges that feel out of our control. The scriptures tell us that Christ is our wisdom from God (1 Cor. 1:30). What we truly need is the Lord Jesus! We ought to learn from Him and stay close each day. He is our ultimate wisdom, guiding us to be in the right place, doing the right thing, at just the right time!

I firmly believe that many troubles and precarious situations can be completely dodged when we lean on divine wisdom instead of our own plans (Prov. 3:6). Wisdom and divine protection work hand in hand, creating a beautiful partnership! Trusting God for our protection doesn’t give us a free pass to leap into dangerous situations. Remember, we’re citizens of both heaven and earth!

As we embark on today’s journey, let’s open ourselves to experience God’s exhilarating protection as we follow the Holy Spirit and lean on His wisdom in every decision we make. Amen!
