Hahahaha 1:12-2:4
Psalm 9A(9):8-13
Matthew 17:14-20
God will never abandon His faithful, for He is inherently faithful; love endures forever. It involves feelings that must be expressed through action and continually reinforced by our choices. Much like the mustard seed Jesus described in today’s Gospel (Matt 17:14-20), love is also something that grows over time. Our understanding of love deepens as we mature. Saying we love God may come easily, as it often begins as mere feelings, but true love must be shown in our actions toward others, which can be challenging.
Mountains of hostility, bitterness, anger, and disappointment may stand in our way, but as long as we love God, these obstacles can be moved. We come to see that love is not only a feeling but also an action and a decision. Are you committed to loving God with your whole being—spiritually, emotionally, and physically? May God strengthen our faith and trust in His saving power. Grant us confidence and perseverance, especially when we pray, and help us to bring His healing love and truth to everyone we encounter. St. Dominic, pray for us. Amen.
