Sammy Daniels Gets ₦5 Million Bail After Weeks in Custody – Family Calls It a Small Victory

Nigerian courts have granted bail to Regina Daniels’ younger brother, Sammy Daniels (also known as Sammy West), for ₦5 million after he was remanded pending trial. The order came from the Federal High Court in Abuja on November 9, 2025, following his detention since early November on charges linked to allegations made by his sister’s estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The court set the bail condition at five million naira with one surety of equal amount who must be a civil servant not below grade level 15 or own landed property in Abuja. Sammy’s family says they are relieved but continue to protest his innocence, claiming the case is politically motivated and part of a larger pattern of harassment against Regina Daniels’ relatives.

Recall that Sammy was arrested after videos circulated showing him in police custody with visible injuries, sparking outrage on social media and calls for justice from fans and activists. His older brother, Sweezzy1, has accused Ned Nwoko of orchestrating the detention to pressure the family.

The Daniels family thanked Nigerians for their support and urged authorities to ensure fair treatment as the case moves forward.
