Saturday Of Week 14 In Ordinary Time

Isaiah 6:1-8
Psalm 92(93):1-2,5
Matthew 10:24-33

HAVE NO FEAR FOR ANYTHING BUT FEAR THE LORD AND WALK IN HIS WAY

In today’s Gospel, Jesus continues to instruct His apostles before they went out to preach on His behalf. He again reminds them that a difficult road lies ahead and He tells them not to fear what people may do to their bodies but to fear what the prince of darkness may do to their souls if they do not trust in Christ alone. That same warning is given to us.

We quite often spend far more time worrying about our physical body than we do about our soul even though the soul is far more important and is the immortal part of us. Do you experience excessive worries and fears in your life? Could it be that you don’t trust God enough?

Let us thank God for reminding us once more of His loving care. May He forgive us for d many times we lacked trust and gave in to fear and worry. Amen.

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
