Stand Firm And Abide In The Lord

WEDNESDAY OF THE FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER

Acts 15:1-6
Ps. 121(122):1-5
John 15:1-8:

Are you still searching for that elusive peace of mind and heart even after yesterday’s powerful gospel, where Jesus offered us His peace? Well, today’s gospel gives us yet another thrilling chance to dive deep into Last Sunday’s message (5th Sunday of Easter). Jesus boldly declares, “I am the Vine.

You are the branches… make your home in me, as I make mine in you.” Imagine that! The Lord is eagerly waiting for us to open our hearts to Him, but sometimes our sins and fears can sever our connection to the vine, robbing us of the spiritual and physical nourishment we need on our Christian journey.

So, let’s embrace this call to be united with Christ, just like the branches are intricately connected to the Vine! In today’s first reading, we witness a dramatic tension that threatens the unity among Christians—yet through prayer and wisdom, they find a way to resolve their differences. Our faith and love should always be the glue that binds us together as one mystical body in Christ!

Let’s not be shaken by any external pressures; instead, let’s stand firm and abide in the Lord. Amen!
