Super Eagles Qualify For AFCON 2023

Nigeria has qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen scored twice in the first half to give the three-time African champions a two-goal lead.

However, Mustapha Bundu equalized for the Leone Stars before Augustus Kargbo made it 2-2.

Zaidu Sanusi’s cross from Kelechi Iheanacho was the last shot of the game in Liberia’s Monrovia to give the Super Eagles a late winner.

Jose Peseiro’s side currently lead the group with 10 points and are ahead of Guinea-Bissau on goal difference.
