The Love Of God Accompanies Us Throughout Our Lives

God is love and his love for us is boundless. That love accompanies us through the journey of life as much as the cloud and fire did for the people of Israel, and that love will equally come down upon us and surround us in the next life too. God leads His people from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the promised land; and to His heavenly kingdom, this is at the heart of what Jesus taught us. If Jesus then is the fullness of revelation and the center of our Christianity, it means that it is through intimacy with Him that all other things in the Christian life are to be understood. God’s net is wide and there is room for all.

Out of love for us who are part of His kingdom, God is constantly sifting out our imperfections, limitations, failures, burdens, and sins of our lives and casting them aside, while allowing us to live on in the goodness and righteousness of our true self as the reflection of God’s own image. His life-giving spirit cast away all our sufferings and anything that might hold us back from His bountiful love. We on our part must not take His merciful love for granted but constantly seek His face in every event of our lives.
