There Is An Amazing Reality We Are Part Of

The boy’s healing gives hope to his father, our healing gives hope to one another.

Ecclesiasticus 1:1-10
Mark 9:14-29

After the mountain top experience of the disciples and the transfiguration of our Lord, as soon as they came down, the disciples were arguing with some of the scribes. The argument is over the curing of the spirit of dumbness affecting a boy’s life. The father had been depressed for years because his son has been convulsing and it often throws him into the fire. This has led the father into a great depression for there seems to be no lasting solution.

Jesus is the lasting solution to all kinds of problems. Are you going through a malaise? Are you spiritually and physically attacked by any kind of evil? Are you despaired or in lost of hope?Jesus is the heavenly physician, he will heal you of your wounds. when we see poverty, sickness, diseases, hostility, killings, brutality, death, destruction, deceit etc. These evils can lead us into a kind of malaise, spiritual muteness or certain doubt that is rapidly convulsing the world in confusion and even in the corners of our Church.

Jesus makes healing wholesome. His healing has a revibrational effects. When Christ healed the son, the father got out of depression. When someone in our lives is healed, the house is healed. When we suddenly see a depressed relative, friend or someone who is mostly at gloom or who happens to argue a lot with everybody suddenly smiles in the morning, there is peaceful co-existence and everyone is heart is light. There is a boomerang effect in healing that can remove the malaise of this world.

In Christ Jesus, we too are brought into life not death. He paid the ransom for our lives by shedding his blood. He shows the wounds to his disciples, the wounds through which we are sanctified and redeemed. The wounds of Christ has been transformed from the wounds of death to a proof of life, life everlasting. We too through our baptism have been brought from death into life. Our wounds are no longer of death, our wounds when offered to Christ we are restored.

Our wounds will heal. Our peace will be restored and we share an inspiration that changes lives.
Our healing gives hope to one another, let us fight the malaise that is eroding the world today because healing is contagious. Do not despair, trust in the Father’s love . Ask Jesus for healing. Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom. With healing, we have hope and the world will be a better place.
