Social media critic, Martins Otse better known as VeryDarkMan, has claimed Tonto Dikeh, the actress, is “threatening to take my life”.
The drama between Dikeh and VeryDarkMan began on Tuesday after the actress ensured the arrest of the social media influencer over alleged cyberbullying and cyberstalking.
Dikeh said she wanted to “put an end to all his shenanigans” while sharing VeryDarkMan’s picture in police custody.
VeryDarkMan later announced his release from police custody on Wednesday evening.
In another post on Thursday, VeryDarkMan claimed the film star is “threatening to take my life”.
He alleged that one of his aunties phoned to tell him to come to hide in her house because the actress was going to kill him.
The social media critic also claimed that he feels unsafe because “Dikeh knows where I work out and my routine”.
“As you all know I am somebody that stands for what is true. And as a result of my activism online against skin care vendors and everything, I have been able to gain popularity on social media. And also commenting on some social issues. But because of one social issue recently that took me to the police station for questioning. Apparently, Tonto Dikeh reported me to the police,” he said.
“On reaching the police station by the grace of God I really appreciate the Nigeria police for how fair and transparent they were in the process. After that, I go home. I am not going into the details of what happened at the police station. I will give the details later. When I came back home, I made a video, and I slept. Waking up this morning, I woke up to over 30 missed calls from my family members and relatives. I was wondering what happened. When I called my aunty, she said I should run away. I asked her why I should run away, she said I should come to Benin. That I should come and hide in Benin. That Tonto Dikeh said she was going to take my life.
“I was wondering where they saw that until I saw a lot of messages of people sending me screenshots of what Tonto Dikeh posted on her Instagram. Then I went there to check it for myself.
“And I am talking to the APC. You people have a politician that is threatening to take my life in the open. And mind you Tonto Dikeh knows where I work out because we use the same gym. She knows my routine.
“She has thrown out the threat and I have reported to the police. I am pleading.”
